Embracing Young Minds

Experience Corps is a community-based volunteer program that engages people over 50 as tutors to help students become better readers by the end of third grade.

While Experience Corps is national in scope (fostered in partnership with the AARP Foundation), your local Experience Corps of Greater New Haven (EC-GNH) program is dedicated to supporting the local community in and around the New Haven area.

Together, we help students succeed and seniors discover their full power as essential community members.

Thanks to the special "Structured Session Program", tutors follow a well-planned process, helping students gain confidence.
